Internship
June 26, 2009
The Heinrich Böll Foundation offers through its internship program insights into the practical aspects of its work as well as administration and planning processes. As an intern you will work in a multicultural context with a particular focus on culture and society in Palestine, Egypt and Jordan.

In the past it has proved helpful for advanced students to combine the work at our office with a research project (e.g. for MA dissertations), so that you might be able to work on specific subjects related to their experiences and interests.

For those who are interested in our internship program, we offer internships with a minimum of three months to students and graduates from Germany, Palestine and elsewhere. You must have a strong interest in political and social developments in the region. Also, an excellent working knowledge of English is a prerequisite. A knowledge of Arabic and previous experience of the region are also an advantage.

Unfortunately we are currently not in a position to offer remuneration or cover of travel costs, but we will be glad to assist you in finding moderately priced accommodation as well as Arabic tuition if required.

For living expenses in Ramallah/West Bank, you should budget for around € 600/ month including accommodation.

Your application, including a CV and a cover letter in English should be sent to our office by email to Alia Rayyan (rayyan@boell-ameo.org )  or fax (00972-2-2961122).

The deadline for the application for the time frame from December 2009 until February 2010 will be the 1st of August 2009.
