The Heinrich Böll Foundation’s internship program offers insights into the practical aspects of its work as well as administration and planning processes. As an intern you will work in a multicultural context and focus on politics, culture and society in Palestine, Egypt and Jordan.

As an advanced student you are encouraged to suggest topics, within the scope of the hbs program that you would like to focus on during your internship. This will enable you to concentrate on specific subjects related to your experiences and interests, and relevant to your research and studies.

We offer internships to students and graduates from Germany and elsewhere, for those with a strong interest in political and social development in the region and whose interests align with the hbs program. An excellent working knowledge of English is a prerequisite; knowledge of Arabic and previous working experience are an advantage.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer remuneration or cover travel costs, but we will happily assist you in finding moderately priced accommodation, as well as Arabic tuition if required.
For living expenses in Ramallah/West Bank, you should budget for around € 750/ month including accommodation.
Please email your application, including CV and motivation letter in English to Caroline Pastor, Caroline.Pastor@ps.boell.org  Application should be submitted at least four months prior to the internship periods: January through March, April through June, July through September, October through December.

Our next call will be for the time period July through September 2012. The deadline for applications is 23 April 2012.
